Health Foundation Holds 13th Annual Golf-Scramble

On Saturday, June 6th, the Mountrail County Health Foundation (MCHF) held their 13th Annual Golf Scramble at the Prairie Rose Golf Club in Stanley. McGough Construction helped co-sponsor the event.
Birdie and Tee sponsors this year were Pearl Valley Oilfield Services, Mountrail Builders, Shelby Barstad of AFLAC, Mountrail County Farm Bureau, RTC, NAPA, Border Plains Equipment, Bravera Bank, EAPC, Mountrail Williams Electric Cooperative, McGee Law Firm, and Pinnacle. And a huge thank you for our Hole in One sponsors: Prairie Ford, Gooseneck Implement, Bravera Bank, and Border Plains Equipment. There were nineteen teams registered and $17,570 was raised this year. The money raised this year will be used to purchase a Solo-Step Overhead Track System for our Restorative Therapy Room in the new Nursing Home. Over the past thirteen years, the MCHF has raised over $171,000 with the help of our wonderful sponsors and our awesome golfers!!!!
Two teams tied for first-place at 11 under, with a score of 61. The team of Mike Miller, Justin Nielsen, Scott Wing, and Tom Wilhelmi along with the team of Hunter Harris, Macie Nelson, Kyle Jessen, and Kristie Harris. A playoff occurred and the team of Miller, Nielsen, Wing, and Wilhelmi won the playoff.

Hole prize winners included longest putt for women on Hole #1 was Heather Gilbertson. She won a $50 Souris Valley gift card. Longest drive for men on Hole #1 was Hunter Harris. He won a $50 Scheel’s gift card sponsored by Rural Health Alliance. Longest drive for women on Hole #2 was Ashley Skarsgard. She won a $50 Scheel’s gift card sponsored by Rural Health Alliance. Longest putt for men on Hole #2 was also Dennis Kvamme. He won a $50 Souris Valley gift card. Closest to the pin, 1st shot, on Hole #3 was Kyle Jessen. He won a leather La-Z-Boy sponsored by Prairie Home Furnishings. Closest to the pin, 2nd shot, on Hole #4 was Tom Wilhelmi. He won a case of Titleist Pro V1’s sponsored by Reynolds Realty. Closest to the pin, 1st shot, on Hole #6 was Tony Hall. He won a Navigator Grill and Smoker sponsored by Ace Hardware. Longest putt for men on Hole #7 was Brian Hysjulien. He won a $50 Vardon Gift Card sponsored by Pinnacle. Longest putt for women on Hole #8 was Sara Evans. She won $50 Vardon Gift Card sponsored by Pinnacle.
The raffles this year included a Callaway Epic Driver and Four Rounds of Golf at the Vardon that was won by Josh Hetzel. Also, a TaylorMade Spider Putter and Four Rounds of Golf at Souris, which was won by Jacen Runstad.
