Stanley Hosts NWC Cross Country Meet

The Prairie Rose Golf Course in Stanley was the location for the Northwest Conference cross country meet on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
In the boys’ varsity race, New Town was first with a score of 36, followed by Trinity Christian with 87, Kenmare-Bowbells with 98, DLB/Lewis and Clark with 110 and Trenton rounding out the top five with 155. Stanley finished in 12th with 314 and Parshall in 13th with 348.
Individually, Kade Lambert of New Town was first with a time of 17:10.83. New Town’s Lukas Spotted Bear was 4th with 18:12.45; Tekoah Hood, 5th with 18:16.30; Louden Haugen, 10th with 18:41.45; Wyatt Baker, 16th with 19:43.30; Brycen Bell, 17th with 19:46.36; Shylo Baker, 20th with 20:19.52; Tracy Lyson, 69th with 27:29.42;and Kaiden Cooper, 76th with 30:40.59. Stanley’s Jason White was 28th with 21:21.08, and Jacob Altamirano was 52nd with 23:45.59. Parshall’s Memphis Walking Elk was 53rd with 23:51.02, and Kingston Foote was 61st with 25:39.36.
In the boys’ junior varsity race, MLS was first with a score of 73, followed by New Town with 73, DLB/L&C with 91, Tioga with 96 and Kenmare-Bowbells with 98 rounding out the top five. Parshall was sixth with 113.
Individually, ComingCloud Perkins of Parshall was first with a time of 12:10.33. New Town’s Jameson Irwin was 4th with 12:50.36; Andres Villafuerte, 11th with 13:25.49; Greyson Lugar, 13th with 14:01.21 and Elvis Hogan, 14th with 14:21.24. Parshall’s Adrias Walking Elk was 22nd with 17:07.14, and Calling Star Perkins was 27th with 18:08.70. Stanley’s Tyson Durfee was 26th with 17:43.24.
In the girls’ varsity race, Kenmare-Bowbells was first with a score of 70, followed by New Town with 75, DLB/L&C with 75, Max-South Prairie with 127 and Stanley rounding out the top five with 127.
Individually, Brynn Hanson of DLB/L&C was first with a time of 20:31.21. Parshall’s Haydyn Chase was 4th with 21:07.67. Stanley’s Italia Rodriguez was 7th with 22:03.02; Annie Roise, 19th with 23:31.86; Jessy Roise, 20th with 23:59.05; and Teigan Moe, 38th with 28:42.17. New Town’s Cedar Fitzsimmons was 10th with 22:24.52; Tori Hale, 12th with 22:45.05; Eva Knight, 14th with 23:03.64; Parker LeBeau, 15th with 23:07.33; Adriene Johnson, 24th with 25:22.83; and Inaani Wilson, 34th with 27:25.89.
In the girls’ junior varsity race, MLS was first with a score of 63, followed by Stanley with 89, Mandaree with 114, DLB/L&C with 118, and Parshall rounding out the top five with 121. New Town was 7th with 138.
Individually, Amiah Deville of Mandaree was first with a time of 12:36.74. Parshall’s Manyiah Walker was 2nd with 14:02.36; Navaeh Packineau, 16th with 16:10.14; and Isabella Williams, 32nd with 20:10.86. Stanley’s River DeTienne was 3rd with 14:11.05; Hadley Reum, 4th with 14:30.14; Mya Anderson, 21st with 16:44.83; and Kaylynn Jones, 26th with 18:31.33. New Town’s Shaya Heart was 20th with 16:24.58; Starla McIntosh, 22nd with 16:49.30; and Marley Danks, 25th with 17:07.99.
Up Next: After running at DLB on Monday, Sept. 15, the Blue Jays next action will be Tuesday, Sept. 23 when they run in Kenmare.
