Cross Country Runners At NWC
The Northwest Conference cross country meet was held at the Tioga Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The top 20 runners in the varsity races earned all-conference honors, while the top 10 in the junior varsity races earned all-conference.
In the boys’ varsity run, New Town was first as a team with a score of 43, followed by Bishop Ryan with 59, Stanley with 71, DLB/L&C with 73 and Kenmare-Bowbells rounding out the top five with 100.
Individually, Kade Lambert of New Town was first with a time of 17:30.70; Tekoah Hood, 4th with 18:15.99; Dane Young Bird, 18th with 20:47.36; Brycen Bell, 19th with 20:47.58; Jameson Irwin, 21st with 21:21.45; Canden Cummings, 28th with 21:54.02; Rising Eagle Heart, 33rd with 22:27.42; Shylo Baker, 39th with 22:45.83; Tanner Abby, 45th with 23:14.67; and Andres Villafuerte, 58th with 24:49.74. Stanley’s Logan Longmuir was 8th with 19:53.39; Kolton Longmuir, 16th with 20:41.49; Payton Harper, 17th with 20:42.24; Trent Bohrer, 22nd with 21:22.45; and Payton Sheffield, 40th with 22:48.80. Parshall’s Kingston Foote was 36th with 22:37.05; and Kaidis LongTimeSleeping, 50th with 23:29.39. Lewis and Clark NSP’s Delmer Crowsbreast was 54th with 23:46.89; and Camden Lee, 60th with 25:55.58.
In the girls’ varsity race, New Town was first with a score of 29, followed by Stanley with 57, Kenmare-Bowbells with 74, MLS with 82, and DLB/L&C rounding out the top five with 115.
Individually, Sage Feininger of Bishop Ryan was first with a time of 21:14.02. Parshall’s Haydyn Chase was second with 21:14.33. Stanley’s Jessy Roise was 4th with 22:28.61; Charley Reum, 10th with 23:04.64; Mya Anderson, 19th with 24:31.83; Hadley Reum, 21st with 24:43.70; Henzlie Longmuir, 23rd with 24:55.52; River DeTienne, 30th with 26:22.36; Rio DeTienne, 31st with 26:26.39; and Teigan Moe, 33rd with 26:50.95. New Town’s Shayla Hogan was 5th with 22:33.27; Cedar Fitzsimmons, 7th with 23:02.14; Hadley Drosdal, 8th with 23:02.64; Parker LeBeau, 11th with 23:36.86; Tori Hale, 12th with 23:37.24; Eva Knight, 14th with 23:57.05; Inaani Wilson, 24th with 25:16.52; Starla McIntosh, 32nd with 26:44.89; Adriene Johnson, 34th with 27:58.83; Kalgaree Spotted Horse, 35th with 28:08.61; Shaya Heart, 41st with 30:21.95; Ilse Rojas, 43rd with 30:56.42; and Marley Danks, 44th with 31:25.33. In the boys’ junior varsity race, New Town was first with a score of 45, followed by Bishop Ryan with 45, Stanley with 54, and Kenmare-Bowbells with 68.
Individually, Jaxen Samson of Bishop Ryan was first with a time of 12:29.89. New Town’s Greyson Lugar was 2nd with 12:35.67; Clarky Knight, 4th with 12:58.05; Kyson Looking Horse, 8th with 13:31.39; Miles Orris, 17th with 14:33.64; Christian Has the Eagle, 21st with 15:28.55; and Elvis Hogan, 26th with 16:41.70. Stanley’s Isaak Longmuir was 6th with 13:11.21; Dylan Guerrero, 9th with 13:42.39; Jaxton Cossette 10th with 13:43.42; Chance Drosdal, 13th with 13:53.74; Griffin Wilson, 24th with 15:55.77; Cash Murphy, 25th with 16:33.21; Tyson Durfee, 38th with 18:59.80; and Pierce Tronset, 41st with 19:36.05. Parshall’s Adrias Walking Elk was 31st with 17:15.61.
In the girls’ junior varsity race, DLB/L&C was first with a score of 15.
Individually, Cora Mann of Mandaree was first with a time of 14:32.55. Parshall’s Jade Johnson was 3rd with 14:50.89; Nevaeh Packineau, 4th with 14:52.52; Victoria Miranda, 10th with 15:36.42; and Ryleigh Miranda, 12th with 16:35.95. Stanley’s Cassidee Harper was 22nd with 18:33.99.
