Stanley FFA Sees Success At Mountrail County Achievement Days

The Mountrail County Achievement Days were held on July 8-9th. Alongside other FFA chapters, Stanley FFA exhibitors earned numerous champion and reserve champion awards in both the livestock and static exhibit divisions.
In the Swine category, Trent Feldman earned Grand Champion Breeding Gilt, while Kaley Uran received Reserve Champion. Kaley then went on to claim Grand Champion Market Hog. Sadee Uran earned Reserve Champion Market Hog and was named the Grand Champion Swine Showman, with her sister, Kaley Uran receiving Reserve Champion Swine Showman.
Stanley FFA members also excelled in the sheep division. Rio DeTienne claimed both Grand Champion Breeding Ewe and Grand Champion Market Lamb. Haddie Asmundson of Berthold FFA earned Reserve Champion Breeding Ewe and Grand Champion Sheep Showman honors, while River DeTienne received Reserve Champion Market Lamb and Reserve Champion Sheep Showman.
In the beef division, Trinity Hynek exhibited the Grand Champion Heifer and was named Reserve Champion Beef Showman. Kaley Uran earned Reserve Champion Heifer, Grand Champion Market Beef, and Grand Champion Beef Showman. Tessa Hynek received Reserve Champion Market Beef.
Stanley FFA members also showcased their talents through an impressive collection of static exhibits, highlighting skills they have learned inside and outside of the ag classroom spaces.
Leading the static exhibits was Carter Goettle, whose welded livestock panel project was named Grand Champion Overall Best of Show and Grand Champion Welding. Levi Uran earned Reserve Champion Welding with a boot rack project, while Landon Goettle received Grand Champion Small Wood Project for his custom name sign.
In the horticulture and floriculture category, Danica Hermanson earned Grand Champion Horticulture, Breanna Istilart received Reserve Champion Horticulture for her Petunias, and Trinity Hynek was named Grand Champion Floriculture for her cow skull floral wall hanging.
Additional champion honors included Owen Lund, Grand Champion Plumbing for his sprinkler; Logan Longmuir, Grand Champion Electrical; Jaylee Snyder, Grand Champion PowerPoint; Khloe Jemtrud, Grand Champion Commodity Poster; and Trent Feldman, Grand Champion Grain Sheave.
Reserve champion awards were also earned by Brayden Weyrauch for his sprinkler; Brooklyn Weyrauch for her PowerPoint; Rebecca Littlefield for her Identification Book; Kaley Uran for her commodity poster; and Trent Feldman for his Field Pea Grain Sheaves.
