Lions Hold Second Summer BBQ
The Stanley Lions held their second burgers in the park on Monday, July 13. The Lions Club holds the summer barbecues on the second Monday of the month during the summer with each month’s proceeds going to different entities.
Proceeds from this second event were donated to the Stanley Park District. With Border Plains as the food sponsor, the Lions were able to donate $2,050 from this month.
The final one will be Monday, Aug. 10 with proceeds going to the SACK program. BBH and Thrivent will be the food sponsor.
The Stanley Lions Club does not meet during the summer months, so Burgers in the Park gives them and the community an opportunity to get together for a good cause.
