New Town Gears Up For Another Year Of National Night Out

The New Town Chamber is excited for another year of fun, education, and community involvement as the community prepares to celebrate another year of National Night Out. For the past five years, New Town has proudly hosted the event in collaboration with the local first responder agencies, including TAT Law Enforcement, New Town Ambulance, New Town Police Department, TAT Fish & Wildlife, MHA Division of Drug Enforcement, and Mountrail County Sheriff's Department.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that strengthens partnerships between first responders and the communities they serve while fostering neighborhood connection and pride. The event helps create safer, more caring neighborhoods by encouraging positive interactions between neighbors and first responders and restoring a strong sense of community.
This year’s National Night Out celebration will take place on Tuesday, August 4th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Main Street in New Town. This event is free and open to the public. Community members are invited to enjoy an evening with friends, family, and first responders from across North Dakota.
National Night Out brings together millions of participants across thousands of communities in all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide. Communities celebrate with block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, safety demonstrations, youth activities, emergency personnel visits, exhibits, and many other neighborhood events.

This year, attendees will have the opportunity to see the Trinity Health First Response helicopter and the Sanford AirMed helicopter as they join the evening’s festivities. The event will also feature North Dakota Vision Zero and their driving simulator, offering an interactive educational experience for attendees.
Children’s activities this year will include bike safety demonstrations hosted by the New Town Police Department and Reynolds Insurance Agency, along with bounce houses, a mechanical bull, face painting, a rock dig presented by the Paul Broste Rock Museum, bingo hosted by the New Town City Library, and more activities to be announced.
The New Town Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to the businesses and organizations whose support continues to make this event possible. Sponsors for this year’s National Night Out include Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative, RTC Networks, ConocoPhillips, Chord Energy, Reynolds Insurance Agency, Cornerstone Bank, Dakota West Credit Union, Larsen Service Drug, and United Quality Cooperative.
