New Faces In Stanley Schools
As the new school year starts on Wednesday, Aug. 21, there are five new faces on the teaching staff.
At the elementary school, there are two new faces.
Tina Addicott will be teaching third grade. Originally from Wisconsin, she has lived in Stanley for most of her life. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from WGU.
She was a paraprofessional at Stanley Elementary for five years. She has also held a substitute teaching license from three years in North Dakota.
She and her husband Jason live in Stanley. They have two children, Levi age 13 and Greyson, age 11.
She teaches Sunday School, works with the Boy Scouts, and is a member of the library board in Stanley.
Her hobbies include baking; watching sports including football and her favorite teams the Green Bay Packers and Stanley Blue Jays; spending time with her family and friends; and watching her kids play sports.
Cynthia Ouradnik joins the special education department at the elementary school. She was born in London, England as her father was in the military. She has a bachelor’s degree in special education. She has nine years of paraprofessional experience at an elementary school in Minot.
She and her husband, Todd, live in Minot. He has retired from the Air National Guard. They have three children, Todd Jr., age 19, Brayden age 15 and Khaleigh age 13.
Her hobbies include camping, hunting with family, vacations, watching her son play hockey as a goalie, watching her daughter cheer in competitive travel cheer, and track and field with her son and daughter. She enjoys anything with her family.
At the high school, there are three new faces.
Susy Castro joins the special education department. Originally from Orange County, CA, she earned her BS in Special Education from Minot State University.
She and her husband, Tyler Cummings, live in Tioga. They have six children, Cash age 19, Isabella age 15, Arielle age 11, Atlas age 9, Arrow age 7, and Legion age 5.
Her hobbies include photography, spending time with family, reading, camping, and anything having to do with plants.
Madelyn Oster will be teaching 9th and 10th grade English. Originally from Ray, she has her degree in English Education from Minot State University.
She is single and is living in Ray.
Her hobbies include reading, writing, walking, and spending time with family and friends.
Allison Savelkoul will be teaching 7th and 8th grade English. Originally from Amarillo, TX, she holds an English Education degree from Valley City State University. This is her first year teaching, but she was a paraprofessional for three years at MLS.
She and her husband, Trevor, are living in Mohall.
Her hobbies include knitting, painting, reading, and playing music.
