Harvest Fest Returns On Saturday

The Stanley Farmer’s Market and Mountrail County Garden Club will be hosting their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, the Harvest Festival returns to the Mountrail County South Complex.
The annual event offers something for everyone. Farmers market participants will have their fresh produce, homemade treats, and merchandise. They will be joined by other vendors selling everything homegrown and homemade.
There is still time to get involved. If you are interested in being a vendor at the Harvest Fest, you can email stanleyfarmersmarket@gmail.com. The Mountrail County Garden Club is the host for the markets. You can follow them on Facebook at Stanley, N.D. Farmer’s Market.
BNC will be serving a free community appreciation lunch starting at 11 a.m. while supplies last.
The North Dakota Equine Association is also bringing their Cowboy Fall Festival back to the Mountrail County Fair Building on Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20.
The two days offer something for all ages including children’s activities, pony rides and entertainment including the equine trail sports obstacle challenge, youth ranch rodeo and showdeo.
All ages are able to take the two days to test their horsemanship with the Equine Trail Sports obstacle courses. This is the competition where the riders choose their own ‘level’ at each obstacle for a great but doable challenge. There are in-hand and riding competitions.
Everyone is invited to come watch, cheer on the competitors, and shop at the vendor show. Admission is free. There will be vendors and concessions both days, as well as pony rides and a kiddy play area
