Track Teams In Action

Stanley’s varsity, junior varsity and junior high track teams were all in action last week. On Tuesday, Apr. 9, the varsity and junior varsity were at the Watford City Early Bird meet. On Friday, Apr. 12, the junior high hosted a meet at home.
Watford City Early Bird
On Tuesday, Apr. 9, track athletes were in Watford City for their Early Bird Meet. This meet featured both Class A and B teams.
On the varsity girls’ side, the team title went to Minot with 163.16 points, followed by Williston with 102, Dickinson with 83.46, Killdeer with 66.3 and Watford City with 66 rounding out the top five. The Blue Jays finished in 12th with 16.3 points and Parshall was 13th with 8. In the boys’ varsity, Dawson County was first with 135.1 points, followed by Dickinson with 102, Williston with 87, Watford City with 61.5 and New Town with 60 rounding out the top five. The Blue Jays were 7th with 44.
In the junior varsity girls’ events, Minot was first with 140.66 team points, followed by Dickinson with 97.33, DLB/L&C with 87, Minot North with 83 and Surrey with 44 rounding out the top five. New Town was 9th with 24; Parshall, 10th with 13; and Stanley, 15th with 5. In the junior varsity boys, Dickinson was first with 179.5 team points, followed by Minot with 123, Williston with 67, Killdeer with 46 and Dawson County tied with Watford City to round out the top five with 45. Stanley was 10th with 21; New Town, 12th with 17 and Parshall 15th with 1.
Varsity Boys Events:
100 meters: Joaquin Pulido of Williston was first with a time of 11.23. Stanley’s Ethyn Jessen was fourth with 11.61; Drake Schlosser, 10th with 11.82; Kayden Uran, 23rd with 12.19; Kolton Longmuir, 28th with 12.29; and Jevon Johnson, 35th with 12.71.
200 meters: Aaron Prestwich of Minot was first with a time of 22.66. Stanley’s Oscar Garcia was 25th with 25.29; Lane Vachal, 32nd with 26.04; Logan Neset, 40th with 26.72; and Jevon Johnson, 41st with 26.87.
400 meters: Parker Schuster of Watford City was first with a time of 52.66. Stanley’s Logan Longmuir was 15th with 1:00.18; Kolton Longmuir, 19th with 1:01.91; Logan Neset, 20th with 1:02.77; and Lane Vachal, 26th with 1:05.77.
110m hurdles: Cole Skabo of Dickinson was first with a time of 15.76. Drake Schlosser of Stanley was second with 17.75 and Jevon Johnson was sixth with 21.84.
300m hurdles: Ethan Dennis of Watford City was first with a time of 42.47. Stanley’s Oscar Garcia was 7th with 48.59 and Kayden Uran was 8th with 50.43.
4x100 relay: Williston was first with a time of 44.91. Stanley was fifth with 48.07 with team members Drake Schlosser, Oscar Garcia, Kayden Uran and Ethyn Jessen.
4x200 relay: Dickinson was first with a time of 1:35.15. Stanley was third with 1:38.80 with team members Drake Schlosser, Oscar Garcia, Logan Longmuir and Ethyn Jessen.
4x800 relay: New Town was first with a time of 8:36.96 with team members Ben DuBois, Lander Lahtinen, Lagage Serdahl and Xavier Bell. Stanley was third with 9:34.43 with team members Logan Neset, Kolton Longmuir, Logan Longmuir and Jason White.
Shot put: Ethan Halverson of Dickinson was first with a distance of 49-07.00. Stanley’s Ben Hynek was 12th with 38-01.00; Michael Lee, 17th with 36-05.00; and Jon Germundson, 38th with 28-10.00.
Discus: Ethan Halverson of Dickinson was first with a distance of 144-07. Stanley’s Ben Hynek was 5th with 120-08; Michael Lee, 16th with 95-10; and Jon Germundson, 31st with 74-10.
Javelin: Jayden Bailey of Heart River was first with a distance of 162-06. Stanley’s Jack Hynek was 4th with 142-02; Ben Hynek, 10th with 117-04; and Jon Germundson, 24th with 64-01.
Junior Varsity Boys Events:
100 meters: James Pallotta of Minot was first with a time of 11.76. Stanley’s Dustin Keen was 20th with 12.76; Zeke Wienbar, 34th with 13.14; Landon Hunting, 41st with 13.52; Austin Kanenwisher, 43rd with 13.56; and Jacob Altamirano, 46th with 13.62.
200 meters: James Pallotta of Minot was first with a time of 24.21. Stanley’s Dustin Keen was 10th with 25.90.
400 meters: Trace Fulton of Dawson County was first with a time of 57.98. Dustin Keen of Stanley was 8th with 1:01.52; Joey Cotton, 22nd with 1:07.07; and Brayden Weyrauch, 26th with 1:09.87.
800 meters: Beckam Tolman of Williston was first with a time of 2:20.91. Brayden Weyrauch of Stanley was 21st with 2:43.15 and Joey Cotton was 25th with 2:46.41.
