Blue Jays Post Win Over Pirates

The Stanley Blue Jays faced the Tioga Pirates on Friday, Sept. 12. While the game was a home game for Tioga, because of field conditions, the game was played on the Lyne Enget field at the Stanley High School. The Blue Jays were looking for the first win of the season.
The Blue Jays opened the game with a 60 yard kickoff return by Kayden Uran to put the first score on the board with the two point conversion failing.
The Blue Jays put three more touchdowns on the board in the second quarter. The first came on a twenty yard run by Kayden Uran with the two point conversion failing. The second came on a 36 yard pass from Kane Reep to Logan Longmuir with the two point conversion failing. Tioga got on the board next with a seven yard passing touchdown with the two point conversion failing. The Blue Jays final score of the half came on a 52 yard passing touchdown from Kane Reep to Ben Hynek with the two point conversion good. That left the score at 26 to 6 in favor of the Blue Jays.
Stanley scored two more times in the third quarter. The first was on a 72 yard punt return by Kayden Uran with the two point conversion failing. The final came on a 48 yard pass from Kane Reep to Ben Hynek with the two point conversion good. With neither team scoring in the fourth quarter, the final score was 40 to 6 in favor of the Blue Jays.
Stanley had 347 total yards including 203 passing yards and 144 rushing yards. Tioga had 116 total yards including 21 passing yards and 95 rushing yards.
The Blue Jays recovered one fumble and had three interceptions in the game, while turning the ball over twice on fumbles.
