Blue Jay Girls Post Win Over Nedrose

Stanley’s varsity girls’ basketball team had just one game on their schedule last week when they hosted the Nedrose Cardinals on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The Blue Jays held a six point lead at the end of the first quarter, with the Cardinals cutting it to five at the half. The Blue Jays held strong in the second half to secure the 60 to 54 win.
Head coach Kendell Hunt said, “The highlight of the game was our bench. They were electric, jumping up and down, belly-bumping, staying loud, and genuinely having fun while supporting their teammates. We talk every week about how energy is contagious, and our bench brought that fire in a big way.”
Kiplee Nordloef led the team with 18 points, followed by Annie Roise with 16, Jacee Johnson with 10, Payton Lystad and CeeJay Bohmbach with 5 each, and Teigan Moe and Kennedi Murphy with 3 each.
Payton Lystad had 12 rebounds, followed by Jacee Johnson and Annie Roise with 7 each, CeeJay Bohmbach with 5, Kiplee Nordloef and Kennedi Murphy with 4 each, Maycee Copeland with 3, and Teigan Moe with 1.
Jacee Johnson, Payton Lystad, Annie Roise and Kennedi Murphy each had 2 assists, followed by CeeJay Bohmbach and Kiplee Nordloef with 1 each.
Annie Roise had 5 steals, followed by Teigan Moe, Kiplee Nordloef and Kennedi Murphy with 1 each.
Payton Lystad and Annie Roise each had 1 block.
