Shelly Elaine Holmes, age 64, of Parshall, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, under the care of the wonderful nurses, staff, and her devoted sister, Joni. A celebration of Shelly’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Gallows in Towner, ND, with a private family burial to follow at Berwick Cemetery. Alvin Houser, 97, of Bismarck (formerly of New Town, ND), died Monday, October 13, 2025, at Edgewood Village Assisted Living in Bismarck, surrounded by his family. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 20th, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church in New Town.

Dennis “Denny” Halvorson, 74, of Ross, North Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, with his daughters by his side at the Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota. Monte Barnes, 77, of Surrey, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at his residence.
