Stanley FFA Competes At District Leadership Contest

Stanley FFA had twenty-seven members compete at this year’s North Dakota FFA District 1 Leadership Contest, within nine contests. Of those contests, four events have qualified for the state contest in Bismarck on December 15th. The four events that will advance to the state contest are: Conduct of Chapter Meeting, Employment Skills, Demonstration, and Prepared Public Speaking.
Our Conduct of Chapter Meetings team consisted of Ziva Ottesen, Gold President; Trent Feldman, 1st place Vice President; Alex Pennington, 1st place Secretary; and Rio DeTienne, 1st place Treasurer; Mia Fierros, Gold Reporter and Jake Germundson, Gold Sentinel.
Brooklyn Weyrauch received 1st place in the Employment Skills contest, Landon Goettle received 1st place in the Demonstration Contest, and Erika Littlefield received 2nd place honors in the Prepared Public Speaking Contest.
Other contests that our members competed in were Parliamentary Procedures, which received 3rd place overall. Members included Tylie Johnson, Gold President; Rebecca Littlefield, 1st place Vice President; CeeJay Bohmbach, Silver Secretary; Drew Pennington, Silver Treasurer; Brenna Wenger, Gold Reporter; and Carter Goettle, 1st place Sentinel.
The Advanced Quiz team received 3rd place overall with members, Jozey Sorenson, Gold; Kerrigan Gustafson, Gold; Carly Rismon, Silver; Nevaeh Charnetzki, Silver; and Breanna Istilart, Silver.
The greenhand quiz team received bronze with members Levi Nichols, Bronze and Jennika Johnson, Gold.
Camryn Ruiz received a bronze award in the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest and Corra Parkinson received a bronze award in the Creed contest.
