Stanley Cheer Team Wins At Battle In The Badlands

The Stanley Blue Jay Cheer team headed to Dickinson, ND, on Saturday, December 6, for the Regional competition “Battle in the Badlands,” at Dickinson State University.
The team competed in several different divisions: Performance Routine (formerly Cheer/Dance routine), Game Day, Stunt Group, Top Sideline and Jump off. 
The Performance Routine took first place with the following cheerleaders performing: Ziva Ottesen, Laura Rivera, Amelia Jackson, Lacie Meyer, Laylah Wilson, Natalia Cox, Valentina Anthony, Hailyn Jenkins, Breanna Istilart, River Nardacci, Rylee Littlecreek, Italia Rodriguez, Lizzie Nelson, Laney Jackson, and Ashley Ellis.
The Game Day Routine took first place with the following cheerleaders performing: Ziva Ottesen, Laura Rivera, Amelia Jackson, Lacie Meyer, Laylah Wilson, Natalia Cox, Valentina Anthony, Hailyn Jenkins, Breanna Istilart, River Nardacci, Rylee Littlecreek, Italia Rodriguez, Lizzie Nelson, Laney Jackson, Ashley Ellis, Kassi Meinen, Mienke Snygans, Ozelyth Loera, Lily Johnson and Isabella Escobedo.
Stanley had three cheerleaders compete in Top Sideline division, Ashley Ellis placed second and River Nardacci placed third.
Four cheerleaders competed in Jump Off with Laney Jackson taking first place. Laney is a consecutive three-time State Champion in Class B Jump off.
Two groups competed in the Stunt Group Division. “Last time, best time-Chungawungas” including Laylah Wilson, Lizzie Nelson, Valentina Anthony, Ashley Ellis and Laney Jackson placed first. “Hot Wings” including Italia Rodriguez, Rylee Littlecreek, Breanna Istilart, Amelia Jackson and River Nardacci placed second.
Stanley Cheer Team will be competing at the State Cheer Competition in Bismarck on Saturday, January 31, at the Bismarck Event Center.
The Cheer team is coached by Amy Littlecreek, Jill Ellis and Brenna Williams.
The team would like to give a special thank you to Jay Jackson for driving our bus and getting us to and from Dickinson safely; our parents, families, and friends and supporters for being there to cheer us on and for filling up our snack tote!
