Pool Opens For The Season

Pool Opens For The Season

The outdoor pool in Stanley has been full of water for a couple of weeks now and staff have been hard at work getting it ready to open for the season. The pool opened on Monday, June 2 even with the cooler than usual temperatures. That did not stop the first four boys from taking the plunge right at the start. The heated water temperature helps swimmers enjoy the pool even when it might be cooler than expected outside.
The Stanley Rec and Park District Facebook page has the information available for those looking to get ready for the season. The membership applications for this year are available as well as all of the other forms that the pool requests be filled out for families using the pool this summer.
Season tickets are available with price options for single person, two person and family tickets, as well as punch cards. There is always still the option to pay for a single day use.
The forms provide a list of membership rules and waiver, medical release forms and places to fill in children’s information. The independent swimmer form is also available.
Pool hours remain the same as last year, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
Two sets of swimming lessons are also set with the first running from June 15 through 26 and the second from July 27 through August 7. You can find the signup form on the Park and Rec District Facebook page or you can pick them up at the pool. The outdoor pool offers swimming lessons for levels four through six. They also offer private lessons.
If last summer was any indication, the pool should be very busy again this year. You can watch the Stanley Rec and Park District or the Stanley Outdoor Swimming Pool of Stanley ND Facebook pages for updates on hours, special events and potential closures throughout the summer.
