Another successful Achievement Days is in the books! Wonderful job to all of our amazing Mountrail County 4-H and FFA youth who participated! Mountrail County is beyond blessed to have the passionate youth members that we do. We hope everyone made memories to last a lifetime! Scissors Award:
Scissor Awards were awarded to the outstanding exhibitors in three age divisions. Points are earned for the number of projects exhibited and their ribbon placings. Each 4-H member was awarded a scissor courtesy of the Mountrail County Homemakers. A 4-H member is eligible to receive this award only once in each age division. Herdsmanship Award
They did it again! This year the Herdsmanship Award went to the Ross Roughriders 4-H club. The club was awarded a spot on our Herdsmanship plaque and a $25 check courtesy of Bremer Bank of Minot.
The Herdsmanship Award is given to the 4-H club who promotes their club and 4-H, is courteous to the public and who keeps their livestock and livestock area clean and neat. They were able to decorate their areas with banners, streamers, balloons, etc.
The Ross Roughriders is led by Amanda Hynek and Lisa Uran and many adult volunteers.

24th Annual Premier Preview Show
Medallions were awarded to the youth participating in the Premier Preview Show were courtesy of the Mountrail County Fair Association. Approximately fifteen medallions were given out to youth participating in the show! This event gave non-4-H youth the opportunity to show livestock in the show ring! The Premier Preview show was hosted by John Woodbury.
Raffle Ticket Drawing
In conjunction with the 4-H Achievement Days, a prize drawing was held for two $50 and two $100 prizes.
4-H’ers selling the winning tickets each received $10.
This year’s winners were: $100 - Jenny George with ticket sold by Ahna G., Parshall; $100 - Denise Billadeau with ticket sold by Lillian G., Parshall; $50 - Laura Huseby with ticket sold by Taylor H., Tioga; $50 - Dustin Roise with ticket sold by Knute R., Powers Lake.
The 4-H member selling the most tickets and receiving a $25 cash prize was Ahna G! Thank you to Ahna for going above and beyond! Money from the raffle helps to pay for ribbons and premiums. We thank everyone for helping sell them.
