New Town To Celebrate 75 Years
The City of New Town will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary this August.
Events will include a celebration parade on Main Street. They are encouraging people to register for this parade. With over 75 years of New Town history to celebrate, now’s the time to get involved.
They are inviting businesses, school clubs, sports teams, organizations and those with a culturally influenced theme to be a part of the parade. They also invite others, including class reunion groups to join the parade for fun.
Gather your crew and create a float, decorate a vehicle, or just join the fun. Organizers want to make this year’s parade to be one to remember. Register today.
Registration forms may be filled out at the New Town City Hall, 949 Eagle Dr., New Town. Registration for the parade is highly encouraged.
There will be events throughout the day including a cornhole tournament with registration at 10 a.m. and the tournament starts at 11 a.m. This is limited to the first 40 teams to register. There will also be a 3 on 3 youth basketball tournament with registration at 9 a.m. and games starting at 11 a.m. There will be separate divisions for seventh and eighth grade, ninth and tenth grade, and eleventh and twelfth grade. The 2026-2027 school year decides the grade division teams play in.
