New Town Christmas Tree Winners
To increase the Holiday Spirit, the New Town Chamber started a friendly competition among businesses. The 12 Days of Christmas Tree Decorating Contest started early in December and continued with voting through January 4.
Everyone was welcome to vote for their favorite tree with the winning trees announced on January 6.
The competition included the following invitation:
“A sparkling Christmas tree stands tall and bright,
The centerpiece of our business lobby at sight.
In this festive tree-decorating winner contest,
We seek the one whose flair is the best.
Who will claim the glory before our eyes,
And take home the $100 dollar prize?”
First place went to “Everything we insure!” at Reynolds Insurance Agency.
Cornerstone Bank took second place with their Holiday Traditions tree.
Cornerstone Bank’s Loan Department took third place with the Grinchmas tree.
Fourth place went to Cornerstone Bank for their Frosty’s Tree.
Organizers are already looking forward to bringing this competition back next year and are looking at ways to increase ease of participation and voting.
