Lions Hold Second Burgers In The Park
The Stanley Lions Club held their second Burgers in the Park for this summer on Monday, July 14. There was another good crowd for their event in Wilson Park.
The Lions Club holds the summer barbecues on the second Monday of the month during the summer with each month’s proceeds going to different entities.
The proceeds of $3,000 from this barbecue were donated to the Mountrail Bethel Home building project. Border Plains Equipment sponsored the food for this event, which allows the Lions Club to increase their donation.
One more barbecue will be held in August with proceeds being donated to the Prairie Rose Golf Course. BBH will be the food sponsor for August.
The Stanley Lions Club does not meet during the summer months, so Burgers in the Park gives them and the community an opportunity to get together for a good cause.
