Lions Hold First Burgers In The Park
The Stanley Lions Club held their first Burgers in the Park for this summer on Monday, June 16. A good crowd turned out for the event.
The Lions had postponed the event from its usual second Monday of the month because of the Commercial Club’s Kick-Off To Summer event held on June 9.
The proceeds from this barbecue will be donated to the SACK program. Gooseneck Implement sponsored the food for this event, which allows the Lions Club to increase their donation.
The Lions Club holds the summer barbecues each year with each month’s proceeds going to different entities. The July event will benefit the Mountrail Bethel Home building project and August’s proceeds will be donated to the Prairie Rose Golf Course.
The Stanley Lions Club does not meet during the summer months, so Burgers in the Park gives them and the community an opportunity to get together for a good cause.
