Farm Bureau Holds Chili Cookoff
The Mountrail County Farm Bureau held their annual chili cookoff at The Leader on Saturday, Mar. 28. The smell of chili filled the building as ten teams took part to try to show off their best skills, recipes and secret ingredients to earn a top spot from the judges.
First place went to Tara and Brad Uran, with Nick Hysjulien and Ryan Wilhelmi claiming second place, and John Woodbury earning third.
With serving open to the public, those attending were able to donate to the cause and then sample all the chilis.
The MCFB is grateful to all the entrants and the attendees of the event. They are happy to report they raised $1,000 for the Stanley Fire Department this year. They plan to continue hosting this community event in the future.
