Curbside Clean Up Starts Next Monday

It is that time of year again when residents start getting their yards ready for summer and the spring cleaning bug hits homeowners. To help with those projects, the City of Stanley will again hold their annual curbside clean up starting next Monday.
The city will be holding the annual spring clean up for the City of Stanley from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8. Household appliances and accepted materials will be picked up by the Public Works Department. Items will need to be separated to allow for easier collection. 
May 4 & 5: South of 6th Ave
May 6 & 7: North of 6th Ave
May 8: John Rian
Curbside Cleanup Guidelines
Please have items separated and neatly placed on the curb before  8:00 a.m. every day.  Late items WILL NOT be picked up.
The following items will
NOT be collected:
Grass Clippings or Leaves
Construction Materials from Businesses or Contractors. Will not pick up remodel debris.
Railroad Ties, Concrete, Bricks, and Shingles.
Materials containing Asbestos.
Exceptionally Heavy or Bulky Items
Paints, Motor Oil, Solvents, Fluorescent Tubes and Bulbs, Propane Tanks.
Chemicals, Tires, or Batteries. 
Food Products.
Carpet/carpet pads, mattresses/box springs, futons, sofa sleepers.
City with NOT pick up batteries. If you have batteries, please bring them to NAPA.

The following items will be accepted at the curb:
Appliances:
Water Heaters, Microwaves, Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Dehumidifiers, Dishwashers, Trash Compactors, and Garbage Disposals.
Fridges, Freezers, Air Conditioners and Water Chillers will only be picked up if they are tagged that the refrigerants have been removed.
All appliances need to have the doors removed.
Brush: Branches and Logs need to be under 6’.
Construction Materials:  Lumber, Windows, and Doors. Lumber must be stacked. Remove or Bend Nails.
General Junk: Boxed or Bundled.
Scrap Metal:  Swing Sets, Barbecue Grills, Bikes, and Treadmills. 
Lawn Mowers and Snow Blowers must have all the fluids drained.
Unusable Furniture: Tables, Chairs, and Couches.
