Crazy Days Returns This Thursday

Crazy Days returns to Stanley this Thursday, Aug. 7, with something for everyone planned again this year, including the return of some very popular events.
Starting at 11 a.m., there will be a free lunch sponsored by Bravera Bank, The Title Team and Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative. They will serve on the street in front of the bank from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The afternoon will be busy with 1st Avenue SE closed to traffic between Bravera Bank and Prairie Home Furnishings. This will allow the Commercial Club to set up inflatables, a dunk tank, and the Cash Cube. The Dance District Studio will be manning the dunk tank as a fundraiser. A mechanical bull will be set up in the Thrivent parking lot on Main Street, while the mini Go-Karts will be set up in the elementary school parking lot. Both will be available from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can purchase your wristband at Prairie Home Furnishings to have unlimited access to the inflatables, go-karts and mechanical bull.
Other events during the day will include root beer floats sponsored by RTC with the proceeds going to the Stanley Cheer Team from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Stanley FBLA will be serving up their fair style lemonade from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. FCCLA will be serving coffee drinks from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the pergola on Main Street.
The annual SACK program school supply giveaway will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Stanley Elementary School gym, or while supplies last. This giveaway is open to anyone needing school supplies.
The outdoor pool will be offering reduced prices for swimming on Thursday.
The Stanley Cheer Team is raising money for their upcoming cheer season. They will be hosting a car wash at G&S Custom Deluxe Detailing from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Businesses will have treats, giveaways and special bargains throughout the day. You can play games at local businesses to win prizes.
The Stanley Merchants will be offering some Crazy Days specials! Don’t miss this day in Stanley. Find great savings and look for Back To School bargains as well.
The day is sponsored by the Stanley Commercial Club with funding assistance from the Stanley Visitors Fund. You can find out more about this event as well as upcoming events by visiting the Commercial Club’s Facebook page at VisitStanley.
