Back To Blue Jay Night Celebrates Fall Sports
The annual Back to Blue Jay Night was held at the Will Athletic Complex at the Stanley High School on Thursday, Aug. 21. The event is held to recognize all of the fall sports teams as the new school year begins.
The community was invited to join the athletes and their families with a potluck supper. Bravera Bank was cooking the burgers and hot dogs. Thrivent was serving root beer floats. Athletes in the classes were each asked to bring different items to share on the table.
After supper, the cheerleaders kicked things off with the school song. Each of the fall teams were then introduced with each athlete invited to share their name, grade and the sports they will be participating in this year.
The fall sports teams include the cheerleaders, volleyball, football, girls golf and cross country.
