A Good Day For A Swim
With temperatures soaring into the 90s and close to 100 this past week, the Stanley Outdoor Pool has been a great place to get a break from the heat. Swimmers have also been blessed by the fact that the American Lutheran Church sponsored free swimming on Sundays throughout July. On Sunday, July 26, swimmers were enjoying the water even with the outside temperatures.
After shortened hours during the ND State Fair along with various summer sports tournaments, the pool has resumed normal hours this week being open from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
They have scheduled a pool movie night on Friday, Aug. 7 starting at 9:30 p.m. They will be showing The Sandlot while you watch the movie on the big screen from your floatie.
The pool will close for the season on Saturday, Aug. 15, as lifeguards return to sports practices, school and college. Check either the pool or park district’s Facebook pages in the event that hours need to change that last week.
The splash pad will remain open for use as long as weather permits.
